Steel Frames: Eyewitness Accounts of the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake and Fire by the Daughters of Charity

Steel Frames is a publication of telegrams, letters, memoirs and notes written by the Daughters of Charity who lived through the 1906 earthquake in San Francisco, San Jose, Hollister and Santa Cruz. These are eyewitness accounts of the earthquake, fire and aftermath. Seven telegrams and twenty-one letters are published in this book along with sketches, photographs and newspaper accounts of the 1906 earthquake and fire.
