Presidio's 1906 Earthquake Commemoration Day

Join the Presidio Trust and National Park Service for a day of 1906 earthquake and fire commemorative activities, including: music by the 91st Division Army Band; disaster preparedness information; period readings; and an illustrated presentation of the Presidio’s role after the 1906 earthquake and fire.
Other commemorative activities take place in the fire station and nearby areas around Lincoln Blvd and Halleck Street. Visit our recreated earthquake refuge camp, check out our exhibit of the US Army’s critical role in the 1906 earthquake relief efforts, and go on guided walks to Presidio refugee camp sites.
April 22, 2006 from 11 am to 3 pm.
The program starts at the Main Post flagpole at 11 am.
Guided walks begin at 10 am, meeting at Lincoln Blvd. and Halleck Street.
