Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT) City-Wide Earthquake Training Exercise

San Francisco Fire Department, Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT)

Marina Middle School will become the site of a mock earthquake. NERT volunteers from around San Francisco will come together to exercise their skills in search and rescue, triage, removal of heavy debris, community team staging area operations and disaster communications.

Relevance

This training was developed after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake to prepare Citizens for an earthquake of the magnitude of 1906.

Audience

NERT program volunteers. General public and students welcome.

Volunteer Opportunities
