Milly Lee Reads from "Earthquake!"
Chinese Historical Society of America
Milly Lee, San Francisco Chinatown native, reads from her book "Earthquake!", telling of her mother's experience during the 1906 Quake and Fire. Milly provides a glimpse into what Chinatown was like at the turn of the century, and speaks further about her mother's story and about writing "Earthquake!"
She also reads portions of her new book "Landed" -- about the immigrant experience at Angel Island.
