San Francisco Public Library

According to the United States Geological Survey, there is a 62% probability of at least one magnitude 6.7 or greater earthquake striking the San Francisco Bay region within the next 30 years.

This exhibit features resources in the Government Information Center relating to past and future San Francisco Bay Area earthquakes, including earthquake preparedness plans, historical photographs, seismic maps, and investigative reports from city, state, and federal governments.
