As part of the ongoing USGS monthly Public Lecture Series that showcases areas of USGS scientific research, the lectures scheduled for March and April 2006 commemorate the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.

USGS research geophysicist, Mary Lou Zoback, speaking on scientific progress in seismology over the past 100 years.

USGS Research Geologist Carol Prentice, speaking on her detailed mapping of the San Andreas fault using historic and modern photography.
