The Earthquake Through the Eyes of Artists

On display are twelve original watercolors by Deidrich Henry "Dick" Gremke (1860-1939), originally born in San Francisco and later residing in Oakland (listed in Eden Hughes "Artists in California 1860 to 1940). Also included in the exhibit are photographs taken by several local photographers, among them John Henry Ramm, a local artist and photographer, also included in the Hughes book. The photographs are recently printed from newly discovered vintage negatives and are blown up to about 16 by 20 inches.
