Walk: Muir Woods Geology Hike
Sunday, April 09, 2006
10 AM - 1:30 PM
The 1906 earthquake that leveled San Francisco left William Kent's coast redwoods untouched; yet the political and economic aftershocks that followed nearly spelled doom for this old growth redwood forest. Learn how the ?06 earthquake led to the creation of a park as we explore the geology of Muir Woods and Mount Tam on this moderately strenuous 6-7 mile hike. Reservations required. Please call (415) 388-2596.
